French Story-Based Instruction

Story-Based classes come in 10 lesson packages. They take place twice a week for five weeks priced at $150 per person or $200 per family, We are flexible, and upon consultation we can change anything here, whether the length of the course or the content. Everything is based on the needs and desires of the learner.

The French language

is spoken by 320 million people worldwide in 29 countries making it one of the most widely used languages in the world. 

NextStep offers story-based French classes at all levels. These five-week classes, priced at $150 per individual or $200 per family, provide an imaginative approach to learning French by engaging students with classic fairy tales. Through storytelling, drawing, and singing, participants immerse themselves in the language Each class is tailored to the needs and interests of the learners, ensuring a personalized and enjoyable experience.

Story-Based Instruction

French is the language of Charles Perrault who is credited with most of the fairytales we grew up with as children. Many of the stories he is known for are contained in his collection titled "Histories ou contes du temps passé, ave moralités " (Tales From the Past, with Morals) published in 1697. This collection included 'Cinderella', 'Little Red Riding Hood,' and 'Bluebeard.'

He is also credited with the known as Mother Goose. We have; however, some real jewels: stories not just collected by Charles, but stories written by women, like Madame d'Aulnoy. 

Cendrillon (Cinderella) Step into the world of young Cendrillon, whose once joyful life turns upside down with the loss of her mother and the arrival of a new family. Le Petit Chaperon Rouge (Little Red Riding Hood)

This tale of cleverness and bravery, written by Charles Perrault, offers a perfect blend of fun and language learning, filled with relatable characters and practical conversational phrases.

Les Fées (The Fairies/Diamonds and Toads)
Explore the magical tale of kindness rewarded and selfishness punished, where two sisters encounter a fairy disguised as an old woman. This story inspires creativity and provides an engaging way to practice French through themes of generosity and wit.

La Belle et la Bête (Beauty and the Beast)

Le Chat Blanc (The White Cat) written by Madame d'Aulnoy
